I've been slacking with keeping all of my followers (all 12 of you!) updated with my past few weeks adventures! So let me just say that I'm sorry, I really have been busy preparing for our little Aleena and getting ready to move, its not that I'm too lazy to blog!
Two weeks ago, we surprised Fernando with a few visitors from out of town! It was awesome but nerve racking at the same time! The same day that his sister, nephew, and niece were scheduled to arrive, Colorado decided to have its biggest snow storm of the season! Way to go Colorado! Lets just say that their flight from North Carolina was delayed for more that 12 hours..no fun for the kiddos, poor babies.
The very next day was my baby shower! It was quite the ordeal to make sure it ran smoothly. We were busy answering calls to confirm that the party was still on no matter what the weather brought our way! It did prevent a lot of Fernando's family from out of town from being able to make their way to Denver so that was a bummer.
The shower was AMAZING though! We are truly blessed with all of our loved ones in our lives! Thanks guys!
I loved my cake, but I have to say that the cookie table was my all time FAVORITE!! Plus we got tons of great gifts for our little Aleena!
This week has been crazy to say the least. On Friday night I woke up at 2am with contractions, I was so excited! I started timing them right away while concentrating on my breathing! For two and a half hours they were between 10-12 minutes apart and lasting a minute each! I was about to wake up Fernando and tell him lets go to the hospital but then I fell asleep! It was so funny when I woke up, I felt as if I had been counting sheep all night trying to put myself asleep when in reality I didn't want to go to bed at all! Well its Monday and my contractions haven't come back yet! I know its going to be soon though!
In the meantime we are busy enjoying his sister Valerie, and his niece and nephew, Gabby and Azariah! Whenever they are away during the day we don't know what to do with ourselves! We are already so used to them being around! Their month vacation with us is already flying by, I hope it doesn't end too fast.
Oh and tomorrow I will be 38 weeks! Two more to go!
