No Time, Too Much fun!

We had an eventful, fun, and family filled weekend, it was full of excitement to say the least!

Have you ever had one of those weekends where you get lost in the moment, are enjoying everything around, and soak in all the happiness? Well that was our weekend! I wish I would have captured some photos of Aleena, but I feel like I would have missed out on just enjoying the time with her. Sometimes that's just what you have to do, forget about the camera and live in the moment! Those are the times when the new memories are forever engraved in your heart, and a photograph isn't needed!

Our weekend fun included:

Going to one of Fernando's good friends baby shower Saturday afternoon, it was so cute decorated in pink and silver! It wasn't a traditional baby shower, it was a BBQ and co-ed so that both the parents could enjoy the party together! They will be welcoming a new baby girl, a little sister to their almost two year old son, at the end of next month! Her and Aleena will be so close in age, we are so excited!

My niece Jaylee turned 8 on the 1st, we celebrated with a pool party Saturday evening! I was a little bummed that the weather wasn't warm enough for Aleena to dive right in for the first time! Not literally of course! I had her swim suit, sunglasses, and sun hat ready! (I forgot a towel though, I can't believe I did that!) Jaylee had an amazing party, enjoyed every minute of it, so that's all that matters to me! I can't believe how fast she's growing up, it's a bitter sweet experience because I know she is growing into an amazing young lady! I love her so much!

My family means the world to me, they are my backbone, my support, my best friends! I am so excited to watch Aleena grow up and learn to love her family, feel that she is loved, and know that we will always be there for her! We are so blessed to have her in our lives.

Here is the one picture I took, everyone was tired, but it was too cute to pass up!
Gunga, Jaylee (birthday girl!), and Aleena!
Happy Birthday Jaylee!

P.S. Show us some love, give us your vote!

  2. It sounds like such a lovely weekend! Really loved reading about it; it made me smile so much. And you're so right about living in the moment, as opposed to always having the camera to capture it :)

  3. Such a good point, that the camera isn't always needed and sometimes just being in the moment is best. I always kick myself when I miss a wonderful moment that I'd love a photo of, but just being there and being a part of it is really the most important thing. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier! :)
